Singkawang is located about 145 km north of Pontianak City and more known as little Hong Kong since more than 70% town's population is Chinese Hakka descendants. The atmosphere is more oriental with many Chinese Temples. The distance between Singkawang and Sambas is about 2 hours' drive away.

DAY TOUR

PONTIANAK – SINGKAWANG - PONTIANAK (L)

After breakfast AT PONTIANAK City Hotel / Meet at Hotel Lobby / ETD 900 AM / then start to Singkawang City that well-known as the West Kalimantan’s Hong kong. Majority is Hakka Chinese. Drive pass villages, coconut, pepper and cocoa plantations to arrive at SA KOK for a visit to Pottery works to observe people traditionally making ceramic articles (Traditional’s Tionghua / China ceramic), here you can see the making process using traditional Kiln and also you may buy it as souvenir.

Upon arrival at Singkawang and cleanest town in West Kalimantan, an orientation tour around Singkawang will be conducted. After Lunch, we proceed to Sambas. The journey will passing oranges plantations etc. Sambas Regency is a regency in West Kalimantan Province of Indonesia. The regency is one of the original regencies in West Kalimantan. Upon arrival Sambas, we visit The Ancient Sultanate Palace, and then see people weaving a typical woven-cloth called “songket”. On the way back to Pontianak, stopover at the exciting Pasir Panjang Beach, a long sandy beach equipped with cottages, swimming pool and other facilities for tourist. Then, depart for Pontianak, ETA Pontianak 700 PM
